WHAT ARE DOUBLE TAPERED JOINT NAILS & FLARED CLAMP STYLE NAILS? 
ESTAD Double Tapered Joint Nails and Flared Clamping Nails, (known in the woodworking industry as clamp nails, coffin nails, spline nails and door frame nails are specifically designed for forming wood joints in furniture, cabinets, general construction, caskets, door frames and windows.  The nails join two pieces of kerf-sawed wood together in a tight and accurate wood joint application that is simple and secure with a durable and lasting fit.  

Available in 1/2", 9/16", 5/8" & 11/16" and lengths ranging from 1/2" up to 4" Double Taper Joint Nail & 4" in the Flared Nail.  Generally the Double Tapered Joint Nails are better for hard woods, while the Flared Clamping Nails are better suited for softer wood types.  ESTAD has the right wood-working  nail to support your wood joining requirements and project.

​​HOW DO DOUBLE TAPERED JOINT, FLARED CLAMPING NAILS & DOUBLE "V" SPLINE NAILS WORK?
Kerf-sawed wood is cut in advance in a precise and predetermined thickness that supports the particular size of Joint Nail or Flared Clamping nail is used to make the wood joint.  The specific nail is then inserted / driven in using a CIMMCO Nail Machine, a pneumatic palm driver or a hammer to securely form a wood joint with the two pieces of wood.  The nail is inconspicuously hidden within the thickness of the wood.  No exterior or interior trace of the nail assembly fastener is visible.  The process is generally used in conjunction with the use any adhesives or bonding agents to secure the wood joint, saving time and effort.  Our nails ensures the wood joint is secure and ready for finishing processes.
